The fan Swirls above my head
Long hours laying in my bed
I trace the shadows on my wall
Throughout my room they Stand so tall
Swallowed in darkness,
My spirit only remains
Even in my hour of crisis
I try to stay tame
Death entices with it’s everlong retort
In all my thoughts, in all sorts
I wonder when I’ll start to feel sane
When the words they say won’t mean the same
And one day I’ll feel happiness again
A time where my Mirror isn’t the enemy, will begin
A time where My thoughts stop keeping me up all night
A time when all will be right
Because there will be a time where I will start to grow
Until then, I’ll never know
Haven’t I read this?
I think I sent it to you a while ago, I decided to post in now though.
Ahh, lol, I like it
Sad, but I like it
This is beautiful, one of the best rhymes I’ve heard in a poem in a while! I love the way it flows! It is sad, but that’s the beauty of writing, especially in poetry. It’s a way to release and share your words with others without verbally saying anything. Wonderful piece, don’t lose hope, everything will be okay in the end. The sun will always rise, even after the darkest night. 🙂
Thank you Gabby 🙂
