Youth waving their fists black and blue
fighting something that seems quite new
Some of us only hide behind the lines
fighting the little battles, you’ll find us tonight
Some run right up to the stands
Promoting what you’d call a brand
Some go to find a battle to fight
except they grab shield and a backstabbing knife
All they really do is play a game
To live in the lavish ilusions they call life
Some barely hold on,
Too wounded to go along
this weary path, that no person belongs
To wander amiss, all alone
We’re on the road to discovery,
yet every turn is a trick
Everyone welcomes you,
yet shoots you down in a click
Some find refuge in the sea
a room full of people they can be
some prefer the dark,
where they can express what’s in their hearts
some simply don’t know, they just go or
resolve to be left alone
It’s a mad world out their,
but don’t be afraid,
this path leads somewhere
I certain that won’t change.
Your poems are just breathtaking, amazing job on these Grace! 🙂
